What Exactly is a Guardian Home?

Our Guardian Home Program is a special partnership between Michigan Labradoodles and select local families. A pick of the litter puppy becomes a permanent part of a family’s home, while Michigan Labradoodles retains the ability to have the dog as part of their breeding program.

This partnership ensures that the dog grows up in a loving environment, experiencing life as a true family companion. This reflects a core belief shared by many reputable breeders in the ALAA: dogs thrive best when they are raised with consistent human connection, socialization, and care.

During the dog’s breeding years, we will handle all breeding related responsibilities and costs, while the guardian family provides day-to-day care, training, and a lifelong home. Once the dog’s role in the program is complete, full ownership is transferred, and the dog remains with the guardian family forever.

Life as a Guardian Home: What’s it Like?

We’re looking for families who want to be part of the Michigan Labradoodles inner circle! Families are selected carefully and are expected to provide a safe, loving, and stable environment for their dog.

Your Role:

• Treat them like the royalty they are (daily walks, training, and lots of treats!)

• Keep us in the loop on how they’re doing

• Ensure your dog is available when needed for breeding or health-related appointments

Our Job: 

• We provide you with a high-quality, healthy, and happy companion. 

• We cover all the breeding-related expenses and logistics.

• We cheer you on every step of the way!

In return, you will receive a top-quality dog at a significantly reduced cost compared to a typical adoption. This partnership is built on trust, clarity, and shared commitment to the well-being of the dog.
